National Indoor Stadium

The Beijing National Indoor Stadium, also known as the National Indoor Stadium is an indoor arena that is located in the Olympic Green in Beijing, China. The stadium was constructed for the 2008 Summer Olympics. It is nicknamed the Fan due to its design resembling a traditional Chinese folding fan.

The stadium opened its doors on November 26, 2007 for the artistic Gymnastics test event.

At the 2008 Olympics, it hosted the Artistic Gymnastics, Trampolining, and Handball events. After the Olympics, the stadium is used for sports competition, cultural and entertaining purposes, and serves as a multi-functional exercise center for local residents.

The stadium has a capacity of 18,000 people.

It is located on Shennan East Road and within Caiwuwei, an area often described as the 'financial district' of Shenzhen. It belongs to Shenzhen'sLuohu District and is situated east of Lizhi Park, approximately one kilometer north of the border between mainland China and Hong Kong.The mixed-use building rises 441.8 metres (1,449 ft) and contains 100 floors for office space and a hotel.Out of those 100 floors, 68 are used for 173,000 square metres (1,862,157 sq ft) of Class A office space, 22 stories for a 35,000 square metres (376,737 sq ft) six-star business hotel and the top four floors of the skyscraper hold a garden and several restaurants.Adjacent to KK100 is the KK Mall, which opened its doors November 26, 2010, and contains luxury brand stores, restaurants and a supermarket.The KK Mall also hosts Shenzhen's first IMAX cinema.The St. Regis Hotel occupies floors 75 to 98 of the main tower, which opened in September 2011.It is currently the second tallest building in Shenzhen as well as being the 14th tallest building in the world.It is the tallest building ever designed by a British architect.There is a water fountain in front of the building, and an observation deck near the top.[citation needed] In December 2011, the Emporis Skyscraper Award awarded the building a fourth place.The building has a height-width ratio of 9.5:1, thus becoming one of China's slimmest buildings.

It is the tallest completed building in Guangzhou, the second-tallest in China, and the fifth-tallest in the world. The Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre has a total of 111 above ground and five below ground floors and houses a shopping mall, offices, apartments, and a hotel. The skyscraper has a gross floor area of 5,464,633 square feet (507,681.0 m2), of which a little over twenty percent is not part of the skyscraper itself, but of the podium connected to it.The Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre is situated on 290,000-square-foot (27,000 m2) lot along Zhujiang East Road in Zhujiang New Town, Guangzhou'scentral business district. In that neighborhood, the skyscraper is located east of the central axis with an underground mall and connections to public transportation underneath it.The Guangzhou CTF Centre is part of the Guangzhou Twin Towers. The other tower of the pair, the 1,439-foot (439 m) tall Guangzhou International Finance Center, is located on the other side of the axis and is also known under the name "West Tower". The Guangzhou CTF Centre is therefore known as the "East Tower" as well.Both towers have a similar height, size, and function, and are situated close to the 1,982-foot (604 m) tall Canton Tower.The Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre is owned by Chow Tai Fook Enterprises, and houses one of the world's fastest elevators, which can reach speeds up to 1,200 m/min. On October 16, 2010, it hosted an NBA pre-season game between the New Jersey Nets and Houston Rockets. A sellout crowd attended this game as the away team Houston Rockets beat the home team New Jersey Nets 95-86.

It is a one half of Guangzhou Twin Towers.Construction of the building, designed by Wilkinson Eyre, broke ground in December 2005, and was completed in 2010. The building is used as a conference centre, hotel and office building. Floors 1 through 66 are used as offices, floors 67 and 68 are for mechanical equipment, floors 69 to 98 have a Four Seasons Hotel with the lobby being on the 70th floor, and floors 99 and 100 are used as an observation deck.The building was previously known as Guangzhou West Tower and had a related project, the proposed Guangzhou East Tower, which, at 475 m (1,558 ft), would have been even taller, though that project has been awarded to a different design by Kohn Pedersen Fox, the 530 m (1,740 ft) Chow Tai Fook Centre.The building was the winner of the RIBA 2012 Lubetkin Prize.

It also offers telephone, Internet connections and printing services.The Main Press Center also has three press conference halls and provides multi-language services, including English, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Arabic.According to the Asian Games Organizing Committee, there are more than 10,000 registered journalists, photographers and cameramen covering the Games.

  Canton Tower, or Guangzhou Tower is a 595.7 metres (1,954 ft) tall multi-purpose observation tower in the Haizhu Districtof Guangzhou (historically known as Canton or Kwangchow), Guangdong, China.The tower was topped out in 2009 and it became operational on 29 September 2010 for the 2010 Asian Games.[14] The tower briefly held the title of tallest tower in the world, replacing the CN Tower, before being surpassed by the Tokyo Skytree.It was the tallest structure in China prior to the topping out of Shanghai Tower on 3 August 2013. It is now the third tallest tower and the fifth-tallest freestanding structure in the world.

  The Beijing National Aquatics Center ,also officially known as the National Aquatics Center,and colloquially known as the Water Cube (Chinese: 水立方), is an aquatics center that was built alongside Beijing National Stadium in the Olympic Green for the swimming competitions of the 2008 Summer Olympics. Despite its nickname, the building is not an actual cube, but a cuboid (a rectangular box). Ground was broken on December 24, 2003, and the Center was completed and handed over for use on January 28, 2008. Swimmers at the Water Cube broke 25 world records during the 2008 Olympics.After the 2008 Olympics, the building underwent a 200 million Yuan revamp to turn half of its interior into a water park.The building officially reopened on August 8, 2010.It will host the curling events at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
